Grand Ole Opry Re-Opens With Some Suprises

By My Crazy Thoughts

The Grand Ole Opry reopened last night after being closed for four months to repair damage done by the flooding in May.  When the curtain went up Brad Paisley and Little Jimmy Dickens were on the famous circle of wood performing Will the Circle Be Unbroken and they were joined by a variety of performers for the chorus.

The evening had a focus on duets pairing some greats together for a phenomenal lineup including Martina McBride and Connie Smith singing Once A Day; Dierks Bentley and Del McCoury singing Roll On Buddy, Roll On; Josh Turner and Lorrie Morgan singing Golden Ring; Montgomery Gentry and Charlie Daniels Band singing Devil Went Down To Georgia; andTrace Adkins and Blake Shelton performing Hillbilly Bone.

Trace then gave Blake an IPhone with a message on it which asked him to become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry.  After composing himself Blake said that this was his greatest career achievement.

It sounds like it was an awesome show with a spectacular lineup.
