2010 Fall TV Season Starts This Week

By My Crazy Thoughts

If you are a TV lover, like I am, then you should be very excited today considering the new Fall TV Season starts this evening. Most returning shows and new shows will debut their season premieres this week and I wanted to give a little recap and look ahead for some of my favorite shows.

Monday

How I Met Your Mother- 8PM CBS - This has been a regular staple for a while on Monday's and will continue to be, I just wish they would tell us who the mother is already. This season we see the addition of Broadway Actress and Country Music singer Laura Bell Bundy as a repeating guest to have some sort of rivalry with Robin.

Rules of Engagement - 8:30PM CBS - While this show has taken a few seasons to grow on me I have enjoyed the addition of David Spade's assistant and think it has a solid spot in between How I Met Your Mother and Two and a Half Men.

Two and a Half Men - 9PM CBS - I felt last year's season was a little non-comical. I don't like Charlie when he is in a committed relationship and think the antics of his single life really make the show what it is. This season Charlie is single and Rose returns and that should be a great improvement over last season.

Mike and Molly- 9:30 CBS - This is a new comedy about two people who meet at an Overeaters Anonymous Meeting and start a relationship, both the lead actor and actress come from supporting roles on shows I enjoyed, Gilmore Girls and Yes Dear. I hope this one makes the cut.

Tuesday

Glee - 8PM FOX - Glee was my favorite new show last year and I am excited for it's return. This year we see Jane Lynch's character Sue Sylvester get a new rival when the school hires a female head football coach. This should make for some interesting spats to occur.

Wednesday

Hell's Kitchen - 8PM FOX - Returning for a Fall run Gordon Ramsey will get a new cast of cooks to yell and scream at this season.

The Middle- 8PM ABC - Also a new favorite from last season. This middle class, middle America family shows most likely one of the more real families on TV and the juggle of kids and work that most people face. Last year's finale with Betty White was classic as was my most favorite episode where the Heck's win $1000 at bingo and pay to have the cable turned back on versus paying off the credit card bill, while not a sound financial decision more people could probably relate to that then most "reality" shows.

The Defenders- 10PM CBS - I have high hopes for this new dramedy starring Jim Belushi and Jerry O'Connell as two Las Vegas defense attorney's who represent some of the wackiest cases in Las Vegas. This is supposed to be based loosely on the real life cases of a defense attorney practicing in Vegas which should make for some good entertainment.

Thursday

Big Bang Theory - 8PM CBS - What I deem the funniest show on TV returns with Sheldon having a quasi girlfriend and that is sure to make for some interesting episodes.

Shit My Dad Says- 8:30PM CBS - While I do follow this feed on Twitter and some of the things this dad says are funny I just hope William Shatner can pull off the dry humor and make this a top comedy.

Grey's Anatomy- 9PM ABC - After last season's finale that was two of the best hours of TV Grey's will have a lot of cleaning up to do and a lot of new emotional problems to work through.

Friday and Saturday

I rarely watch TV on Friday and Saturday evening so I really have no idea what's on these nights.

Sunday

Amazing Race 17 - 8:30PM CBS - I didn't start watching The Amazing Race until they did the family edition that most fans did not like. I became a fan after that season and have watched everyone since then. I am sure this year's teams will be as interesting and competitive as in the past.

Undercover Boss - 10PM CBS - I have loved this show since the debut after the Super Bowl last year and can't wait to see what companies that are highlighted this year. The season premiere episode will be Choice Hotels International.

While there are plenty of other wonderful shows starting back up or debuting this week these are the ones on my schedule.

Happy TV watching to all the fans out there.
